Capture the Moment
Pack your camera and follow us into the wild — where light, land, and wildlife create moments worth capturing forever.
ABOUT US
We are professional photographers with backgrounds in journalistic photography, fashion, and architecture, now bringing our expertise and passion into the wild.
After years of working behind the camera in structured environments, we found our true inspiration in wildlife photography — where light, movement, and nature create the perfect, untamed studio.
Based in stunning Tanzania, we offer award-winning photographic safaris designed to give every guest, from beginners to professionals, the best possible experience behind the lens.
Our safaris combine creative guidance, expert local knowledge, and the freedom to capture Africa’s iconic wildlife — the Big Five, the Great Migration, and the endless landscapes that make this continent so unforgettable.
With a fleet of specially modified photographic vehicles, we ensure that every angle and moment is within reach. Whether it’s the golden light over the Serengeti, the reflections along the Rufiji River, or the details of everyday life in Tanzania’s villages, we help travelers see — and photograph — Africa differently.
At PhotoSafaris, we don’t just take you on safari. We take you on a visual journey — one that connects creativity, adventure, and respect for nature.

We Are

My favourite places are the vast open plains of the Serengeti, and I love to witness the extraordinary vistas and wildlife of the Great Rift Valley then on to see the beautiful northern parks of Tarangire and Ngorongoro Conservation Area before heading to the exhilarating Ndutu region. This is where I spend my time as a photographer watching the spectacular calving and migration of the wildebeest, including the excitement of other wildlife and predators.

I’ve worked in the safari world for more than 19 years and built my own company with a simple goal: to give guests a safe, reliable, and truly enjoyable experience. After living and working in Switzerland for nine years — and guiding travelers through several African countries — I learned what really matters when people travel: trust, punctuality, good communication, and feeling genuinely looked after.
Over time, I started creating and modifying my own photographic safari vehicles to give both hobby and professional photographers the setup they need for great pictures. I also began taking photos myself, exploring remote and beautiful parts of Tanzania that most visitors never get to see.
All of this experience guides the way we work today. We believe that nothing is impossible, and we try to share that spirit with every guest.

Nyerere National Park is my favorite place in the world because it still feels truly wild and untouched. I’ve traveled all my life, but Africa is where I have spent most of it. My husband, Thilo Thielke, was an Africa correspondent, and his work brought us to Kenya — the place where our children were born and where I worked as a photographer.
With a few short breaks in between, we stayed.
Africa became our home, and it continues to inspire everything we do today.
